My latest TdB ‘Spill the Tea’ Interview:

Jamie Knee – Petite Wine Traveler

Interview by Lyn M. Archer

Writer Lyn M. Archer interviews wine travel writer and personality Jamie Knee of Petite Wine Traveler on Substack.

“My work is about creating space for meaningful stories, uplifting underrepresented voices, and reminding people that wine is ultimately about connection, generosity and shared experience.”-Jamie Knee

Welcome to Tête de Bulle’s 2026 series ‘Spill the Tea’.

This interview project grew out of a need to give back to the Substack community, which nourishes me as a creative.

Backstory

A bit of back story: Each year for the past ten years as a professional writer, I have quietly donated my services, pro bono, to one client involved in sustainability or social advocacy.

As I move more towards visual storytelling and writing on Substack, I asked myself “Why not move this model to the Substack space?” Voila! Enter ‘Spill the Tea.’

The micro-interview platform showcases fellow Substack creatives covering an array of cultural topics.

Removing the paywall opens these interviews to the entire Substack community, and allows those interviewed to promote freely to their own audiences.

(In essence, my ‘pay it forward’ pro bono model in a different format.)

Each week, fellow Substack authors spill about their noteworthy projects, pet peeves, and fave Substacks they follow.

Today, TdB’s STT meets up with award-winning luxury wine travel writer and media personality Jamie Knee of Petite Wine Traveler.

(This interview has been edited for clarity and length.)

LMA: What is your Substack site, and what is it about?
Jamie Knee: My Substack is Petite Wine Traveler. It is a home for wine, travel, and storytelling at the intersection of culture, luxury, and lived experience.

On Sundays, I publish a full wine travel feature called Wine As A Passport, where I explore vineyards, destinations, and the people behind them.

On Wednesdays, I share a weekly reflection called The Beautiful Pour, offering personal musings on wine, creativity, and life.

LMA: What was your impetus for starting it?
Jamie Knee: I wanted a space for deeper, more intentional storytelling.

A place where I could slow down, write thoughtfully, and connect with readers who see wine not just as a beverage, but as a gateway to culture, history, and human connection.

Substack allows me to write in a way that feels personal, expansive, and true to my voice. READ MORE HERE.
